A Thin Place
Wiweeletitpe
“many streams flowing at that place”
In the beginning, a place of merging waters.
Where many first peoples came together
in peace to trade and celebrate.
A place of learning and growing in Spirit
down through the years.
Unbroken circle
building foundations for generations to come.
A place to swim and sing.
A place to create and craft,
friendship bracelets and copper enamel crosses.
Memories of acceptance emerge
from hidden treasures of childhood tucked away for a lifetime.
A place to restore the land, that thin place,
where many waters gather.
A place to restore Currants, Red Osier, Willow, Camas and Wapato.
A place to gather in community.
A place to renew one’s soul.
